Regulatory Matters

Summit is well experienced in the policy and regulatory aspects of energy project development. Members of the Summit team have senior experience within the United States Environmental Protection Agency and have been active in successfully securing approvals for power purchase agreements and project related transactions in multiple state Public Utility Commission jurisdictions within the recent past. Summit has also argued and obtained FERC reversal of an unfavorable state regulatory decision relating to one of its projects. Further, from a national and state environmental and energy policy perspective, Summit’s personnel includes individuals who have worked directly in Washington, DC on developing the major national energy programs signed into law in the last decade, including the 2005 National Energy Policy Act and the 2007 Energy Security and Independence Act.
